JOE JONES

SNOW HILL -- Joseph "Joe" Edwin Jones Jr. died Monday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A native of Greene County, he was the son of the late Joseph Edwin Jones Sr. and Virginia Gay Jones. Following graduation from Maury High School, he completed his undergraduate studies at East Carolina University and graduated from the New York Stock Exchange Institute. He retired as a stock broker with E.F. Hutton in Kinston.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Jones Jones; one daughter, Davis "Deegie" Jones Andrews of Charlotte; brothers, William Lewis "Billy" Jones and James Russell "Russ" Jones of Snow Hill; and two grandsons.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Queen Street United Methodist Church, where he was a member. The Reverend George Speake officiate. Private interment will be at Rainbow Cemetery
The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 7 until 8:30 at Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service and other times at the residence, 1944 N.C. 91, Snow Hill,
