Allen "Al" Jerome Greene, 46, of 817 Franklin St., formerly of Thomasville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Greene Eaddy of Thomasville.
Viewing hours will be Thursday (today) from 1 until 6 at McIntyre Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Greater Guiding Star Church, 1114 S. Slocumb St. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He leaves behind a loving, devoted wife, Wilma Greene of the home; four daughters, Shemeka Scipio (Kenny) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Gabrelle Gaither of Thomasville, N.C., Colinthia Bynum of Greenville, N.C., and Jamesha Bynum of the home; four sons, Brandon Zimmerman of High Point, N.C., Asa Greene of Thomasville, N.C., Tavares Bynum and Chquavery Bynum of Goldsboro; his father, Dwight Eaddy Sr. of Thomasville, N.C.; one loving sister, Cheryl Eaddy of Thomasville, N.C.; three brothers, Dwight Eaddy Jr. (Tama) of Charlotte, N.C., Terry Greene (Priscilla) of Charlotte, N.C., and Harold Greene (Edith) of Norfolk, Va.
