Katie Jewel Warren Stein, 83, sister of Carlton W. Warren of Goldsboro, died Sunday morning at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
A resident of Apex and a former resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., she retired with 20 years of service as a registered nurse. She was the widow of Charles A. Stein Jr., and the daughter of the late Malcomb and Ila Lee Warren.
In addition to her brother, she is survived by two sisters, Ruth W. Holleman of Apex and Frances W. Dunn of Newton Grove; two other brothers, Percy A. Warren of Fayetteville and Clarence L. Warren of Newton Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Apex United Methodist Church, 100 S. Hughes St., Apex, NC 27502, or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23038-3216.
The family is being served by Apex Funeral Directors.
