SELMA -- The funeral for Joann Worley Parrish, 70, of Fayetteville will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The Reverends Paul Bishop and Marshall Danenburg will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Heights Cemetery.

Mrs. Parrish died Saturday at the Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill.

She was the daughter of the late Raymond Sandy and Lola Ellen Ingram Worley and the widow of Sgt. Major Carlton E. "Diamond" Parrish. She was a member of Peace Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mechelle Kelly of Fayetteville; two sisters, Jean W. Crocker of Selma and Lola W. Hinson of Biscoe; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers are acceptable, or memorials may be made to Peace Baptist Church, 816 Stamper Road, Fayetteville, N.C., 28303.
