PIKEVILLE -- Menesia Reyes Carreras, 83, of 174 Boyette Pond Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Carreras was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on August 20, 1921, to the late Julio and Maria Dolores Reyes.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., will preside.
Mrs. Carreras is survived by two sons, Louis Carreras of Pikeville and Pete Carreras of Raleigh; one daughter, Maria Carreras Crifasi of Smithsburg, Md.; one half brother, Greg Reyes of Sarasota, Fla.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
