PIKEVILLE -- Menesia Reyes Carreres, 83, of 174 Boyette Pond Road, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Carreres was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, on August 20, 1921, to the late Julio and Maria Dolores Reyes.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., will preside.
Mrs. Carreres is survived by two sons, Louis Carreres of Pikeville and Pete Carreres of Raleigh; one daughter, Maria Carreres Crifasi of Smithsburg, Md.; one half brother, Greg Reyes of Sarasota, Fla.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
