DAVID SANDLIN

Beulaville resident

David Allen Sandlin, age 71, of Beulaville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, to be with our Lord and Savior.

Mr. Sandlin served our country in the United States Army from June 1954 to May 1962. He was a member of the Hallsville Baptist Church in Beulaville and the Beulaville Masonic Lodge No. 658, A.F.&A.M. He was a retired blueberry farmer and a businessman.

Mr. Sandlin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris Hill Sandlin. His daughters are June Sandlin Hyde and husband Eddie of Trussville, Ala., and Ellen Sandlin Mitchell and husband Steve of Goldsboro. His grandchildren are Travis Allen Hyde, Emily Mitchell, Savannah Hyde and Erin Kate Mitchell. Mr. Sandlin was the son of the late Dockie David Sandlin and Emma Mae Albertson Sandlin of Beulaville. His siblings are Genevieve S. Raynor and Jerry Ann Sandlin-Chesmore of Beulaville, Pansy S. Johnson of Raleigh and the late Charles Sandlin of Beulaville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at 7 p.m. at Community Funeral Home in Beulaville, with visitation to follow. The burial services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Bostic-Sandlin Cemetery, South Cornmill Road, Beulaville, N.C.
