Vernon Lanier, 84, died Tuesday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
The funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Beulaville. Burial will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at East Duplin Memorial Gardens, Beulaville.
Mr. Lanier is survived by his wife, Geraldine Lanier of Beulaville; one daughter, Patricia Sumner Garrison of Beulaville; two sons, Adrian Vance Lanier Sr. of Beulaville and Dorian Craig Lanier Sr. of Greensboro; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Friday night, and other times at 1693 Fountaintown Road, Beulaville.
