GORDON L. MUSGRAVE

PIKEVILLE -- Gordon L. Musgrave, 82, of 1848 Antioch Road, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Mr. Musgrave was born in Wayne County to the late Bruno Frank Musgrave and Mary Cox Musgrave. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in Germany, and was a retired insurance adjuster and an avid golfer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goldsboro, and was a former member of Antioch Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the W.E. Musgrave Cemetery, 1719 Antioch Church Road, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating.

Mr. Musgrave was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorene Brown Musgrave, and is survived by one nephew, Johnny Musgrave, and his wife, Cathy, of Pikeville, and several cousins.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Bill Musgrave, and a nephew, Tim Musgrave.

The family will receive friends today at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and also in the at Antioch FWB Church fellowship hall following the graveside service on Friday.
