HELEN M. WISE
Helen Marie Wise, 84, 2710 Langston Drive, died Tuesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Goldsboro. The Reverend Jack Sauls will officiate. Interment will follow at Walker Family Cemetery in Goldsboro.
Mrs. Wise was born in Wayne County on February 19, 1921, to the late Berry Swift Walker and Sally Barwick Walker. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Roger Wise Jr., and his wife, Clara Jo, of Atlanta, Ga., and Dan Wise and his wife, Martha, of Goldsboro; two brothers, Berry "Shine" Swift Walker Jr., and his wife, Barbara, of Goldsboro and Kenneth Darwin Walker and his wife, Kathleen, of Greensboro; three sisters, Faye Sutton of LaGrange, Shirley Lawrence and her husband, Merolin, of Goldsboro and Jean Hobbs of Goldsboro; and five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wise was preceded in death by her husband, Roger William Wise; two brothers, Lyman Walker and Max Walker; and one sister, Marjorie Crawford.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8:30 at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory, and other times at the home of Jean Hobbs, 161 Grant Drive, Goldsboro.
