PIKEVILLE -- Lloyd Victor "Vic" Howell, 54, of 211 N. Goldsboro St., died Saturday.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. Don Sauls and the Rev. Ottis Penny officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Pikeville Cemetery.

Mr. Howell was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late Loyd and Doris Sauls Howell. He was a planner and supervisor at Waukesha Electric Systems for 37 years and was a member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was an avid rider of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant twins.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Alford Howell; one daughter, Gina Howell of Boone; one son, Stewart Howell, and his wife, Kristie, of Pikeville; one granddaughter, Courtney Howell; one sister, Jeanette Sasser, and her husband, Larry, of Nahunta; three brothers, Clark Howell, and his wife, Judi, of Fremont, Bobby Howell and his wife. Terry. of Fremont, and Gene Howell of Pikeville; his mother-in-law, Janice Alford of Pikeville; brother-in-law, Charles Ashley Alford, and his wife, Pat, of Fremont; and his special pet, Marshall.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Ashley Alford, Chad Alford, Jeremy Howell, Sterling Howell, Jason Howell and Jonathan Howell.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations may be made to Pikeville PFWB Church, P.O. Box 910, Pikeville, N. C. 27863.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Tuesday night, and will be at the residence at other times.
