BETTY LOU BAKER

Betty Lou Barwick Baker, 75, of 232-B Sandstone Drive, Goldsboro, off Hwy. 111 South, died Saturday night at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating. Committal and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Pineview Cemetery near Seven Springs.

Mrs. Baker was the daughter of the late Mack and Betty Frances Barwick and the widow of James Baker Jr. She was a longtime employee of the Tastee Freeze on U.S. 70 East, Goldsboro.

She is survived by one daughter, Christine Peterson of Clinton; six sons and their wives, Robert and Brenda Baker of Goldsboro, Allen and Joy Baker of Seven Springs, Hayward and Joan Baker of Dudley, Edward and Sandra Baker of Goldsboro, Charles Baker of Goldsboro, and Larry and Connie Baker of Washington, NC; daugher-in-law, Brenda Smith Baker (Mrs. James "Bud" Baker) of Fremont; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death one son, James "Bud" Baker III; one daughter, Patty Jean Caudell, one sister, Christine Barwick, and two brothers, Harold Barwick and Ben Barwick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
