MATTIE D. ROGERS
HENDERSON -- Mattie Denson Rogers, 75, died Wednesday at Guardian Care of Henderson.
The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Terry Hall officiating. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Lenoir County to the late Joe and Rosa Letchworth Denson. She was wife of the late Selbert Allan Rogers and was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Billie Jean Moriatis, and her husband, Mike, of Fort Pierce, Fla., Rosa Patton and her husband, Rick, of Greenwood, S.C., Betty Jo Pulver of Henderson, and Stacy Rogers Salisbury and her husband, David, of Catlettsburg, Ky.; four sisters, Julia McDaniel of Durham, Martha Herring of Seven Springs, Iris Evans of Seven Springs and Lottie Howell of Mobile, Ala.; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, and other times they will be at the home of Martha Herring, 4681 NC 111 South, Seven Springs.
Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
