ELIZABETH G. CASEY

Elizabeth Gregory Casey, 89, of 603 Lockhaven Court, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Pastor Ira Williford officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Born in Halifax County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Eva Jane Holmes Gregory and was married to the late James Emmett Casey and Johnnie William Weaver. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James Douglas and Leann Hines Casey of Lucama, William Jackson and Connie Marie Casey of Clemmons, and Cecil Eugene and Janice Lancaster Casey of Fremont; daughters and son-in-law, Mary Casey Stevens of Pikeville , Barbara C. and Sammy James Norris of Dudley; one brother, George Idell Gregory of Goldsboro; one sister, Bessie Jane Gregory Holmes of Mount Olive; and 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Nelson Barrett Casey and Samuel Thomas Casey.

The family will greet friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home & Crematory and at other times at the home of Barbara and Sammy Norris, 376 Outlaw Road, Dudley.

Flowers are welcome, and the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
