CLAUDIA TIMMONS
Claudia "Tiny" Timmons, 71, of 1628 Old Grantham Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Seymour will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Timmons was born in Lenoir County to Claude Sutton, who survives at the age of 95, and the late Ruth Jones Sutton. She was formerly employed with Hecht's Department Store. She was a homemaker and provided child care in her home for many years. She attended Mar Mac Friends Church.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Timmons; her children, Charlotte Boyette of Goldsboro, Phil Timmons of Rowland, Dawn Murray of Goldsboro; one brother, Kelly Sutton of Kinston; three sisters, Catherine Jones of Moss Hill, Peggy Braxton of Kenansville and Sybil Vandiford of Speed; four grandchildren, Joseph Timmons of Grantham, Carly Boyette of Goldsboro, Jeremy Murray of Goldsboro, Kirsten Lily of Michigan; and one great-grandchildren, Hannah Timmons of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, J.R. Sutton and Alan Sutton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Charlotte Boyette, 400 Green Drive, Goldsboro.
