ROOSEVELT WILLIAMS
MOUNT OLIVE -- Roosevelt Williams, 83, of 956 N. Breazeale Ave., died Wednesday at Sunbridge Nursing Center.
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ. The Rev. Dennis Battle will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Newton Grove.
Mr. Williams was the son of the late James and Esther Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel M. Williams of the home; three sons, David Williams of Goldsboro, Aroy Williams of Mount Olive and Roosevelt Williams Jr. of Washington, D.C.; three daughters, Shirley Williams of the home, Gloria Campbell of Mount Olive and Annie Brinson of Dudley; two brothers, the Rev. Henry Williams of Dudley and Roy K. Williams of Spring Lake; two sister, the Rev. Mable Williams of Newton Grove and Mary W. Graham of Bronx, N.Y.; and 27 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Saturday at Garris Funeral Home, and the family will be present from 5 until 6 p.m. to receive friends.
