EDWARD PIERCE

Edward E. Pierce, 75, a native of Goldsboro, died with heart failure on Tuesday in Layton, Ohio.

He was the son of the late Pauline Filler and Richard Pierce. He retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service and then worked 20 years with the State of Oklahoma Department of Mental Health. After retiring from the State of Oklahoma, he moved his family to Utah and began working for the LDS Church at Promised Valley Playhouse in 1984 as the house manager.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pierce; one daughter, Jeri Johnson; two sons, Terry Pierce and Gary Pierce; and four grandchildren.

The funeral was held today at 11 a.m. at the Snow Creek Ward, 845 No. 1150 E., Layton, under the direction of Lindquistis Layton Mortuary. Interment was in Lindquistís Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, with military honors by the H.A.F.B. Honor Guard.
