LILLIAN B. REGISTER
Lillian Benton Register, 87, formerly of Goldsboro, died Tuesday morning at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida Mae Smith Benton and the widow of Kenneth H. Register. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Benton of Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph Ballance will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receiving friends this afternoon from 2 until 3 at the funeral home.
