WILLIAM TAYLOR

William L. Taylor, 56, of Fort Washington, Md., died Friday, May 6, at Georgetown Medical Hospital in Washington, D.C.

He retired from the Metropolitan Police Dept. with 20 years of service. He was a 1967 graduate of Dillard High School and was the son of the late James L. Taylor Sr. and Annie Bell Best Taylor.

His survivors include his wife, Renee Taylor; two daughters, three sons; two sisters, Johnnie Taylor Lewis and Flora Taylor, and a brother, John Taylor, of Goldsboro, and another brother, Joseph Taylor, of Fort Washington, Md., and a number of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 10 until 11:30 at New Dawn Baptist Church in Hyattsville, Md., and the funeral will follow in the church sanctuary, under the direction of B.K. Henry Funeral Chapel.
