DESSIE EVANS
PRINCETON -- Dessie Strickland Evans, 74, of 2-B Fieldale Drive, died Monday at her home.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home. The Rev. Percy Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Progressive Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late David Hunter and Lula Moore Strickland and the widow of Alkie Earl Evans.
She is survived by two daughters, Lesia Evans Casey and Lorraine Evans King of Smithfield; two brothers, Lloyd Strickland of Raleigh and Rudolph Strickland of Georgia; one sister, Gladys Davis of Clayton; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to and immediately following the funeral.
