CHARLES HINSON

Charles Vance "Charlie" Hinson, 63, of 107 Par Drive, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Vernon Braswell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Hinson was a native of Wayne County and was the son of Carrie Mae Holland Hinson and the late Charlie B. Hinson. He worked with Automotive Wholesale for 27 years as its Seymour Johnson Air Force Base representative. He was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ann Denning Hinson; a daughter, Melissa H. Sutton, and her husband, Ron, of Princeton; a son, Mike Hinson, and his wife, Amber, of Rosewood; two sisters, Mary H. King, and her husband, Donald, of Pine Level and Hilda "Sam" Sharpe and her husband, Bob, of Casey, S.C.; one half-sister, Ruby Mull of Swansboro; one sister-in-law, Gwen Word, and her husband, Don, of Nashville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and his special companion, Pierre.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Mike and Amber Hinson, 107 East Wendy Way, Goldsboro.
