MARTHA HERRING
PIKEVILLE -- Martha "Rose" Lassiter Herring, 66, of 109 Canary Lane, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Pikeville Cemetery.
Mrs. Herring was born in Johnston County and was the daughter of the Martha Bryant McLamb of Kenly and the late Zack Lassiter. She was formerly employed in the accounting department at A.P. Parts and was a member of Living Waters Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Herring is survived by one daughter, Vickie Herring of Pikeville; two sons, Anthony Herring of Pikeville and Kenneth Herring of Walstonburg; five sisters, Shirley Edwards of Pinetops, Brenda Gooding of Selma, Joyce Dawson of Kenly, Galye Williams of Smithfield and Jackie Kyle of Clinton, Ky.; and her grandchildren, Stacy Herring, Christy Herring, Tyler Herring, Morgan Herring and Conner Herring.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service on Tuesday night.
