RAYMOND DAVIS
Raymond Earl Davis, 62, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
He was the son of the late Alexander Brinson and Bessie Davis. He attended Dillard High School and, at an early age, began attending Pentecostal Holy Church when it was under the leadership of the late Bishop Samuel Clemons. He worked for the City of Goldsboro Sanitary Department, retiring in January with over 25 years of service.
His survivors include nine sisters, Helena (Woodrow) Bell, Annie (John Earl) Swinson, Doris (Albert) Worrells, Jerrelle B. Jones and Vivian Morrisey of Goldsboro, Shirley (Walter) Morgan of Raleigh, Mary (Rufus) Turner, Virginia (Arch) Turner, and Velma (Lamar) Knight of Hartford, Conn.; and six brothers, Leslie (Joyce) Davis of Durham, Odell (Mary) Davis, Linwood (Brenda) Brinson, Calvin Brinson, Stephen (Tracey) Brinson and Richard (Patricia) Brinson of Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. Elder David Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 7 on Friday at Rhodes Funeral Home.
The funeral procession will line up at the home of Odell Davis, 200 Winslow Circle.
