CATHY PARNELL
WILSON -- Cathy Wade Parnell, 55, owner and operator of Cathy's Alterations, died Wednesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held by the graveside on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Gooding Taylor, in 2003, as well as a sister, Brenda Parrish, and a sister-in-law, Alene Wade.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Parnell Sr.; a daughter, Wendy Pipkin (Ralph, III); a son, Robert E. Parnell Jr. (Denise); a son-in-law, Joseph Taylor, and Missy's children, Jamie and Chad Taylor, all of Wilson; sisters, Laura Ellen Fail (C.B.) of Pikeville, Beverly Dorman (Dale) of Kenansville; brothers, Kenneth and Dwight Wade of Pikeville and Joe Wade (Laura) of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews; and a special pet, "Baby".
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, on Friday from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. (252-237-7171).
