DELTON THOMPSON SR.
FAISON -- Delton O. Thompson Sr., 81, of 220 David Bright Road, died Saturday at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
He was the son of the late Rev. Edgar O. and Margie Thompson. He was a farmer and retired as a health care technician at O'Berry Center.
He was a member and deacon at Burning Bush Holy Church and the funeral will be held there on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Arto Pickett will officiate. Burial will be in Faison Community Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Madie Thompson of the home; two sons, Delton Thompson Jr. of Goldsboro and Lenwood Thompson of the home; one brother, Hawthorne Thompson of Mount Vernon, N.Y.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 6 today at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive and at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
