ROSA EDWARDS
KENLY -- Rosa Vernise Edwards, 71, of 12427 NC 42 East, died Thursday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Coley Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Capps and the Rev. Jimmy Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Moore's Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards was the widow of the Rev. Joe Jarland Edwards, who died in January.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce Edwards and Joe Edwards of Kenly; one sister, Louise Renfrow of Kenly; three brothers, Clifton Johnson, Leon Johnson and Billy Johnson of Kenly; and three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Coley Funeral Home.
