MANLEY OUTLAW
Irvin Manley Outlaw, 77, of 363 Riverbend Road, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Outlaw was born in Duplin County and was the son of the late Matthew Lafayette Outlaw and Pennie Rouse Outlaw. He taught at Wayne Community College in the Machinist Department and retired from General Electric with 24 years of service.
Mr. Outlaw was an active member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Men of Madison. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Outlaw had attended Atlantic Christian College.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rose Hicks officiating. Entombment will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mr. Outlaw is survived by his wife, Jessie Lee Parnell Wiggs Outlaw; his daughter, Melody Outlaw Bryan and her husband, Michael, of Wilmington; his son, Donnie Wiggs, and his wife, JoAnn, of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Kader Anthony Bryan, Briana Gayle Bryan, Trevor Scott Greene and Lindsey Greene Wydner, Donnie and Pattie Wiggs, Jamie and Jonathan Wiggs, Bryan Anderson; his great-grandchildren, Veronica Greene, Morgan and Ethan Wiggs; and his brother, Albert Cary Outlaw of Garner.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Outlaw; his wife, Gaynelle Jones Outlaw; and his brother, William Nelson Outlaw.
Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 3859 U.S. 70 West, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
