DOUGLAS BATSON
BEVIL OAKS, Texas -- Douglas Grey Batson, 57, died Saturday.
Born in Goldsboro, N.C., and raised in Center, Texas, he was the son of the late L.D. and Elizabeth Batson. He moved to the Beaumont area in 1967 and worked as an over-the-road driver for Mamo Transportation.
He is survived by two sons, Traylor Douglas Batson of Nederland and Trevor William Batson of Beaumont; and a brother, Leon Batson of Richardson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday morning from 10 until noon at the mortuary.
