JACK QUINN

Henry Fonzo "Jack" Quinn, 87, of Goldsboro, died Saturday at Britthaven of Goldsboro.

Mr. Quinn was born in LaGrange to the late Harvey L. and Lela Wade Quinn. Mr. Quinn was husband to the late Otena Quinn and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. His hobbies were fishing, playing bingo and attending flea markets, and he was known as a jack-of-all-trades.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Judy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Quinn is survived by eight children, Barbara Tart of Smithfield, Lois Lambert of Mesa, Ariz., Harvey Jack Quinn of Selma, Sadie Lela Quinn of Goldsboro, Doris Faye Morales of Dudley, James Wiley Quinn of St. Paul, Harvey Major Quinn of North Carolina and Mattie Mitchell of Newton Grove; and 22 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange, and other times at the home of Dixie Quinn, 2895 Highway 70 West, Goldsboro.
