RUBY SANFORD
WILSON -- The funeral for Ruby Faye Swinson Sanford, 52, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Wilson. The Rev. George Carmon will conduct the service.
Mrs. Sanford died Wednesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
She was the daughter of Eunice Harris Swinson of Walstonburg and the late Johnnie "Puncho" Swinson and was a graduate of Greene Central High School.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Sanford is survived by her husband, Earnest Lee Sanford Sr. of the home; one daughter, Tequila Sanford of Gastonia; six sisters, Joyce Taylor of Wilson, Barbara Lucas and Katrina Whitted of Stantonsburg, Evonne Swinson of Tarboro and Carol Davis and Ruby Artis of Wilson; and one brother, Royce Swinson of Roanoke Rapids.
The viewing will hours will be from 2 until 6:30 today at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Wilson and the family will be there to receive friends from 5 until 6:30. At other times they will be at the home of Lee Sanford, 206 E. Railroad St., Walstonburg, and will assemble there one hour prior to the funeral.
