KATHLEEN E. THORNTON
The funeral for Kathleen Evans Thornton, 86, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry House will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton died today at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County and a homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Myrtle Dail Evans and was married to the late Preston Thornton.
She is survived by two sons, John Page of Goldsboro and Carl Page of New Bern; two sisters, Bessie Baker of Goldsboro and Norma Jean Walston of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Gloria McCullen, Mary Taylor and Carleen Morris; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Brogden and a great granddaughter, Angela Page.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Sunday at Seymour Funeral Home.
