KENNETH KELLY

Sgt. Kenneth Kelly, 27, died Saturday, Feb. 19, while serving with the U.S. Army in South Korea.

He attended school in Jacksonville and graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1997. He enlisted in the Army the following year.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Kelly of Goldsboro; a son, Triston Kelly of Greenville, N.C.; a sister, Shierra Jackson of Raleigh; three brothers, Dimitri Adams of Goldsboro, Tyson Knight of Linden, N.J., and Maurice Washington of Savannah, Ga. His grandparents, Ernest and Dorothy Kelly of Dudley, Mary Alice Lowery and Willie Mayweather of Elizabeth, N.J., and Raymond and Virginia Jackson of Virginia.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

The viewing will be on Friday from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
