PEGGY ALPHIN

WARSAW -- Peggy Joyce Bennett Alphin, 66, of 166 Alphin Lane, died on Sunday, February 27, 2005.

God chose to take this great wife, grandmother and great-grandmother home to be with Him. Our hearts are so saddened, but we take comfort in knowing that her father, mother, grandfather, granny, and her little girl, Rebecca, will be waiting for her. What a day of rejoicing for them. Our mother had two sets of parents. She always said her husband's father and mother raised her, too. They were Robert and Anice Alphin.

Peggy was born September 10, 1939. She is survived by her husband, Robert Alphin of the home; two sons, Chris Alphin and wife Cynthia of Pink Hill, and Robbie Alphin and special friend Susie of Goldsboro; two daughters, Bobbie Jo Alphin-Kennedy and husband Robbie of Warsaw, Candie Marriner and husband Brent of Dudley; a special son that came to her, Charlie Thorton of Warsaw; five grandchildren, Jennifer Sutton, Robert Allen and Justin Alphin, Angie Hemby and Ashley Marriner; four great-granddaughters, Abby Alphin, Olivia Sutton and Lindsey and Hailey Hemby; one sister, "Pee Wee" Burris of Goldsboro; and three brothers, Billy Edmundson of Mount Olive, Bobby Edmundson of Wilson and Jackie Edmundson. She also had a special friend, Sue Grady of Deep Run.

We will celebrate her life on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Clayton Sutton of Hood Grove Baptist Church, Newton Grove. Visitation will follow the service.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 1 p.m. in the Alphin Family Cemetery, 166 Alphon Lane, Warsaw.

The family will be at home at all other times.
