MARY GUY

Mary Louise Merritt Guy, 54, a teacher in Duplin County Schools, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Warsaw United Methodist Church in Warsaw. The Rev. Henry Swanzy will officiate. Burial will be in the Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.

Mrs. Guy was born on Sept. 25, 1950, to the late Charlie James Merritt and Mary Alice Kornegay Merritt of Sampson County.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Guy of Warsaw; one son, Christopher Wade Guy and wife Kelly of Mount Olive; two daughters, Mary Ann Guy Peck and husband Michael of Warsaw and Dawn Guy and fiancé Corey Batchelor of Calypso; two brothers, Tommy Merritt and wife Jane of Franklinville and Donald Merritt of Raleigh; two sisters, Doris Merritt Batts and husband Sheldon of Magnolia and Edith Merritt Murray and husband Philip of Knightdale; four grandchildren, John Peck, Cora Peck, Will Guy and Brandon Batchelor.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home in Warsaw, and other times at the residence at 210 East Chelly St., Warsaw.
