MAGNOLIA -- The funeral for Annie Ruth Southerland, 89, of 565 S. N.C. 903 Hwy., will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Kenansville. Pastor E.T. Coston will officiate. Interment will be in the Devotional Gardens, Warsaw.

She died Friday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.

She was the daughter of the late James and Annie Mae Graham Dobson and was a retired food service employee with Duplin County Schools.

Her survivors include four daughters, Eva Miller of Magnolia, Helen McGowen of Kenansville, Minnie P. Cockrell of Philadelphia and Shirley Mills of Durham; a son, Lafayette Hall of Magnolia; one sister, Melissa G. Boney of Magnolia; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The viewing will be today from 4 until 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive and at the church one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.

The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James (Helen) McGowan, 228 Paul Ed Dail Road, Kenansville.
