JAMES GIDDENS
MOUNT OLIVE -- James Shirrel Giddens, 63, of 919 Jordans Chapel Road, died Friday.
Mr. Giddens served in the United States Marine Corp. for four years.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove. Father Ned Shlesinger will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley C. Giddens; two daughters, Cindy and husband, Wayne Goss of Grantham, Misty and husband, Steve Smart of Grantham; two sons, Craig and wife, Christie Giddens of Mount Olive, Wade and wife, Janice Giddens of Mount Olive; six grandchildren, Aaron, James Ryan, Dillon, Cameron, Kaitlyn, and Chandler; his mother, Letha Giddens of Mount Olive; one sister, Ivor Joyce Tart of Mount Olive; three brothers, William Giddens of Angier, Floyd Giddens of Jacksonville, and Hampton Giddens of Mount Olive.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, with a rosary prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m.
