C.W. SMITH
Christopher Wright "C.W." Smith, 80, died Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mr. Smith was born in Durham Co., the son of the late Nettie Mae and Royal Wright Smith, and was a a conservative, patriotic American.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Faye Perry Smith; daughters, Betsy Patton of Youngsville and Virginia Dias of Anderson, S.C.; sons, Christopher R. Smith of Durham and Michael W. Smith of Raleigh; stepdaughter, Hazel Williams Matthis of Clinton; sisters, Dorothy Thomas of Maryland, Louise Dowling of Goldsboro and Sara Elizabeth "Betsy" McNay and Alice Thomas of Morehead City; and 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held Friday 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham.
Flowers are acceptable, or memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Children, P. O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73101.
The family is being served by Clements Funeral Service Inc.
