Cora "Tommie" Butts Ruch, 82, of 3570 US 117 Alt., died Thursday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Allen W. Stanley will officiate. Committal services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with entombment following at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mrs. Ruch was born in Duplin County to the late Clemmon and Cora Dixon Butts and was married to Harold Ruch. She was a homemaker and was a member of Mays Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Douglas and Sarah Ruch of Rock Hill, S.C.; one daughter, Jenny R. Dexter of Dudley; one sister-in-law, Betty Butts of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Joshua and Elisabeth Ruch and Blake Dexter; special nephew, Tony and Maxine Butts of Mount Olive; and special friends, Leon and Esther Bryan of Dudley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Saturday, and at other times at the residence.

Flowers are welcome, however, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534; or to the charity of one's choice.
