JOY F. WHALEY
Joy Faye Whaley, 53, of Britthaven of Goldsboro, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Sauls officiating.
Miss Whaley was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Tony and Martha Jones Whaley. She attended Trinity Baptist Church.
She is survived by one brother, Jackie Whaley and wife, Dorothy, of Goldsboro; Aunt Peggy and Uncle Robert Holloman and Aunt Letha and Uncle Edward Watson of Goldsboro and Aunt Betty and Uncle Willard Jones of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today from 5:30 until 7:30 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Jackie and Dorothy Whaley, 237 Forest Knolls Road, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
