MARVIN BATTLE
The funeral for Marvin Battle will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Tabernacle of Prayer. Pastor Shirley Hawkins will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Mr. Battle was preceded death by his mother, Edna E. Battle.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Battle of the home; two sons, Quaterria Battle and Ontario Smith of Goldsboro; one daughter, Shannon Smith; seven brothers, James Battle, Ricky Battle, Clifton Battle, Hugh Battle, Jarvis Battle, Danny Battle and Dennis Smith; and four sisters, Phyllis Harris, Karen McKinnon, Petula Battle and Claudette Mohn.
A viewing will be held today from 1 until 7 at McIntyre Funeral Home, and an inspirational wake will follow from 7 until 8 p.m.
