LUTHER JOHNSON

WILSON -- Luther "Buster" Ralph Johnson, 79, died Sunday.

The funeral will be conducted Tuesday 7 p.m. in the chapel of Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 US 261-A West. A private burial, with military honors, will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Johnny Hudson will officiate.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Johnson was a farmer and was a supervisor with Voith Fabrics and Burlington Mills in Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Lee Johnson; two daughters, Martha Edwards and Freida Taylor of Wilson; a son, Donald "Don" Johnson of Wilson; a sister, Patsy Skinner of Winterville; and a brother, Joseph M. "Pete" Johnson of Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday night, beginning at 7, at Joyner's Funeral Home, and other times at 4908 Webb Lake Road.
