BILLY THOMAS CAPPS

PIKEVILLE -- Billy Thomas Capps, 63, of 122 Goodnight St., died Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Johnston County on June 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Tommy and Thaney Bass Capps. Mr. Capps was a heavy equipment mechanic and at present, a carrier for the Goldsboro News-Argus.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Capps Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Grace Capps; three sons, Roger Capps of Selma, Billy C. Capps Jr. of the home, and Bobby Capps of Kenly; three daughters, Libby Tracey of Selma, Tammie Harrison of LuCama, and Pepper Hill of Wilmington; one brother, Douglas Capps of Selma; two sisters, Lola Jackson of Selma and Edna Sanders of Selma; a special niece, Linda Evans of Selma, and 12 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 at Casey Funeral Home.
