NELL LUCILLE HILL
Nell Lucille Hill, 76, of 2710 Langston Drive, died Saturday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Born in Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Grimsley and Lucy Taylor Hill. Miss. Hill was the owner and operator of Nell’s Sandwich Shop, and was previously employed with food service at Meadowlane and Greenwood Schools.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Cason officiating. A private burial will be held at Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sisters, Grace Hill Gwaltney and Mary Hill Malpass, both of Goldsboro; and a brother and sister-in-law, Blaney and Pearl Hill of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Grimsley Hill and William Taylor Hill.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service until 9 p.m., and other times at the home of Blaney and Pearl Hill, 317 Country Day Road, in Goldsboro.
Flowers are welcome, while the family requests memorial gifts be directed to the charity of your choice.
