FAISON -- Jesse James "Jim" Daughtry, 78 of 11327 Keener Road, died at Wednesday at Duke Medical Center
The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Royal-Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. David Page will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery.
Born in 1926 in Johnston County Mr. Daughtry was the son of the late James Henry and Appie Grant Daughtry. He was a charter member of New Life Baptist Church and a musician.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Everette Daughtry; two daughters, Kimberley Daughtry of Lake Worth Florida and Deborah Daughtry of Redwood City, Calif.; two stepsons, Gary Bryant of Chesapeake, Va., and Jim Bryant of Mouintianview, Calif.; three sisters, Theresa Reese and Ruth Hinson of Goldsboro and Olive Mae Brock of Kenansville; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
