RUTH BUSBEE
Ruth Mary Busbee, 90, of Goldsboro, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Swansea, S.C., to the late Jessie Lee and Carrie Lou Sturkey Mack, she was the wife of the late Clarendon William "C.W." Busbee and mother of the late Carolyn Shumpert. She was a member of Old Lexington Baptist Church in Leesville, S.C., where she served in various ministries.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Leesville, SC.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean B. Carson, and her husband, John B. Carson, of Goldsboro; one son, Mark Busbee; one sister, Patsy Latham, of West Columbia, S.C.; one brother, Chester Mack of Cayce, S.C.; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (designated for research), 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL, 60601-7633.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro is serving the family.
