JOHNNY LANGLEY SR.

SMITHFIELD -- Johnny Gray Langley Sr., 79, of Old Sanders Road, died Monday at his home.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The Rev. Charles Nichols and the Rev. Emery Hackett will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on U.S. 70 West.

Mr. Langley was born in Johnston County to the late Robert Jack and Della Green Langley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Watkins, and is survived by one stepson, Wesley Taylor of Raleigh; a stepdaughter, Rose Weeks of Pikeville; one brother, James Langley of Selma; three sisters, Elgie Bass and Helen Brown of Selma and Ann Davis of Smithfield; and two step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
