DUDLEY -- Billy Ray Vick, 55, died Thursday, Dec. 30, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. at The Original Tabernacle of Prayer for All People. Apostle Lawrence Bogier and Dr. D.L. McIntyre will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mr. Vick was the son of Mallie Vick of Goldsboro and the late James A. "Speedy" Vick and was an employee of Southco Distributing Company.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Rosa "Shirley" Vick of the home; one son, Billy Ray Vick Jr. of Smithfield; one daughter, Catina Vick Broadie of Pikeville; eight sisters, Shirley Horner, Annette Vick, Marion Cannon, Sharon Braswell and Sonya Vick of Goldsboro, Betty Davis and Ann Smith of Dudley and Linda Jones of Mount Olive; and seven brothers, James "Buddy" Vick, Ricky Vick, Alvin Vick and Timothy Vick of Goldsboro, Thomas "Tom" Vick and Curtis Vick of Fremont and Earl Vick of Laurinburg; and three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

The viewing was on Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.

Friends and relatives may call at 106 Rex Court in Rollingwood.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries.
