OLLIE JONES

Ollie Maples Jones, 89, formerly of 3296B Nahunta Road, died Monday at Britthaven Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which she was a member, with Bishop Rex Howard presiding. Burial will be in the Thomas Ruffin Aycock Cemetery in Nahunta.

Mrs. Jones was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Bertha Aycock Maples. A homemaker and farm wife, she was the widow of Jasper Jones.

Her survivors include one daughter, Mary Jones Maxfield, and her husband, L. C. "Max" Maxfield, of Willimantic, Conn.; three grandchildren, Junetta Maxfield of New York, Jed Maxfield of Minden, Nev., and J. Maxfield of St. George, Utah; four sisters, Shirley Olsen, Ruby Hawes and Dorothy Schvaneveldt of Logan, Utah, and Martha Smith of Ogden, Utah; and one brother, Henry T. Maples of Hampstead.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Chesnutwood, and a brother, Hyrum Maples.

The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
