ERNA METZ BIZZELL
Erna Metz Bizzell, 100, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
A native of Charleston, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ernst F.C. Metz and Teresa McGarey Metz.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Bizzell Scovel, and her husband, Edwin G. Scovel, of Goldsboro; two sons, E. Metz Bizzell and his wife, Hilda Ivey Bizzell, of Atlanta, Ga., and Robert C. Bizzell of Atlanta, Ga.; four granddaughters; Mary Erna Scovel, Teresa B. O'Leary, Katherine B. McComis and Laurie B. Bailey; and three grandsons, E. Metz Bizzell, Jr., Eric I. Bizzell and Robert C. Bizzell, Jr.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. Burial will be on Thursday afternoon at 3 in Clinton Cemetery in Clinton.
The family will receive friends at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church during the hour prior to the funeral on Thursday morning.
