RUBY E. WOODARD

PINE LEVEL -- Ruby Eatmon Woodard, 86, died Saturday.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be on Wednesday morning at 11 in Oliver-Wiggs Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodard was born in Johnston County on Oct. 10, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Gar and Ida Grice Eatmon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Archie Woodard, and a son, Bobby Shelton Woodard. She was a retired employee of Champion Products and was a member of Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Archie Woodard Jr. and wife, Anne, of Columbia, S.C., and Benny Rand Woodard and wife, Betsy, of Princeton; four daughters, Joyce Gurley and husband, Charles, of Clayton, Peggy Aycock of Bushnell, Fla., Judy Phillips and husband, Danny, of Pine Level, and Kay Barbee of Pine Level; two brothers, Rayland Eatmon of Smithfield and Jollie Eatmon of Garner; two sisters, Beulah Abbott of Smithfield and Delia Creech of Princeton; and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. .

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service Tuesday evening and at other times at the home of Benny Woodard, 1054 Old Rock Quarry Road, Princeton.
